Mobile Health Applications, Smart Medical Devices, and Big Data Analytics Technologies

ABSTRACT. This research synthesizes existing studies and investigates the incorporation of the Internet of Things technology in health. Using and replicating data from Accenture, AlphaWise, AT&T, Ericsson ConsumerLab, GrowthEnabler, IDC, Morgan Stanley, PAC, and Statista, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding the business drivers for offering remote patient monitoring Internet of Medical Things solutions, how the vast majority of Internet of Medical Things is deployed on the operational side of healthcare, the size of the Internet of Things market worldwide by industry, and global Internet of Things market share by sub-sector.
