Technology-related Behaviors and Attitudes: Compulsive Smartphone Usage, Stress, and Social Anxiety

ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study was to empirically examine technology-related behaviors and attitudes. Building our argument by drawing on data collected from AARP, Insights West & iamota, MarketingCharts, Pew Research Center, and YouGov, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding the relationship between compulsive smartphone usage, stress, and social anxiety. The structural equation modeling technique was used to test the research model.
