METAFIZICA ADECVARII REALISMULUI STIINTIFIC LA INDETERMINAREA REFERENTIALA

ABSTRACT. Scientific realism maintains that science seeks to uncover the one objective way that the world is. Although primarily a claim about the aim of science, it also presupposes a certain metaphysical claim about the nature of reality. Claiming that science seeks to describe the objective reality presupposes that there is such a reality. Scientific realism presupposes some form of metaphysical realism - the thesis that what things there are and what kinds of things there are is objectively determined.
