Social Matching Systems, Intimate Personal Data, and Romantic Compatibility on Internet Dating Sites and Apps

ABSTRACT. I draw on a substantial body of theoretical and empirical research on Internet dating sites and apps, and to explore this, I inspected, used, and replicated survey data from Pew Research Center and Statista, performing analyses and making estimates regarding social matching systems, intimate personal data, and romantic compatibility. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data and test the proposed conceptual model.
