THE CONCEPT OF GENOCIDE IN INTERNATIONAL LAW

ABSTRACT. The objective of this paper is to emphasize the importance of the role of joint criminal enterprise complicity in genocide, the establishment of the nature of the crime, the concept of crimes against humanity, the physical element of the crime of genocide, and the prohibition of crimes against humanity. In this paper I am particularly interested in exploring the nature of criminal responsibility for genocide, the nexus between crimes against humanity and the war itself, the repression of the crime of genocide, the origins of criminal prosecution of genocide, and the repression of genocide. pp. 221–226
