THE SOCIAL PROCESSES THAT UNDERLIE LANGUAGE USE

ABSTRACT. Over the past decade, there has been increasing evidence describing the brain basis underlying the capacity to exchange social signals, the biological foundations of linguistic capacities, and the development of communicative competence.
