Internet of Things-based Smart Healthcare Systems: Real-Time Patient-Generated Medical Data from Networked Wearable Devices

ABSTRACT. Empirical evidence on Internet of Things-based smart healthcare systems has been scarcely documented in the literature. Using and replicating data from Accenture, MarketsandMarkets, PAC, and PwC, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding the business drivers for offering remote patient monitoring in Internet of Medical Things solutions. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling.
