Restoration interventions of a Liturgy Book Cover from Ciolpani Monastery

ABSTRACT. This paper specifically deals with the conservation and restoration interventions of the book cover of a Liturgy Book published in 1834 and coming into the possession of Ciolpani Monastery in 1995. The physical and mechanical damage throughout consists of embrittlements, cracks, fractures, loss of support, massive xylophagous insect attack, reddening, stiffening, dirt deposits, wax stains.
