EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM VIOLIN PLAYING ON THE FACIAL SKELETON

ABSTRACT. Over the past decade, there has been increasing evidence describing the neural correlates of musical skills, health problems in musicians who play violin, and the cognitive and brain effects of music making. This paper aims to analyze and discuss ulnar neuropathies in violinists, the organization of the developing brain, adaptations in brain regions that are involved in musical tasks, and the effects of musical training on the structural and functional organization of the human brain. pp. 208–213
