PHRASE RHYTHM AND COMPOSITION

ABSTRACT. Huddleston and Zhang claim that musical GAs are grouped by their methods of fitness evaluation and the scope of the music they attempt to create. Maxwell and Eigenfeldt develop a component for data analysis, storage, and recall, to be used as a tool by algorithmic composition system designers. Wright et al. write that music is typically modeled as a collection of note events: each note has a set of attributes, such as pitch, onset, amplitude, and duration. Mozer describes an extension of the transition table approach using a recurrent autopredictive connectionist network called CONCERT. (pp. 155–159)
