HARMONIZATION OF COMMERCIAL CONTRACT LAW

HARMONIZATION OF COMMERCIAL CONTRACT LAW

ABSTRACT. Smits discusses the practical importance of harmonization of commercial contract law. Hatzis shows that Civil contract law is a fertile ground for economic analysis and is more efficient than Common contract law. Pomfret argues that it is not obvious whether regional/bilateral agreements are becoming a major feature of the global trading system. Trebilcock and Leng address the role of formal contract law and contract enforcement institutions in economic development.
