INTRODUCTION TO ‘GLOBALISATION: NOW’ • SPECIAL EDITION OF KNOWLEDGE CULTURES

In July, 2013, the University of Western Sydney hosted a two-day research seminar entitled, ‘globalisation: now’. The purpose of this event was to gather Australian and international researchers interested in the field of education and globalisation. The result has been an ongoing, research-based conversation about the effects of globalisation on education and vice versa, and two separate but convergent publications, this special edition of eight papers, specially commissioned for Knowledge Cultures, and an edited book called Super Dimensions in Globalisation and Education, which is due out with Springer in 2015. pp. 11–21
